Cavalier Golf and Yacht Club, Virginia Beach, Virginia- Responsible for all engineering and site plan
approvals for renovations to the existing golf course. The project included preparation of a water
quality impact assessment and stormwater management plan for construction within
Chesapeake Bay Preservation Areas. Provided
representation for public hearings during the Chesapeake Bay Board approval
process. The project resulted in the
creation of two tidal wetlands, conversion of out of play areas to low
maintenance buffer grass, conversion of in play grass types to a more drought
tolerant cultivar of Bermuda grass, and the implementation of a bioretention
facility for the treatment of an existing parking lot. We also assisted the club in the acquisition
of an expanded use permit for groundwater withdrawals.
